Houston, TX — April 20, 2026 | Altillion has completed a feasibility study demonstrating the economically viable recovery of both iodine and lithium from a single produced-water stream, using its IRIS and ALIX platforms in combination.

Recovering two critical minerals from the same feedstock can materially improve project economics versus single-mineral approaches, spreading capital and operating costs across multiple revenue streams. The study confirmed that Altillion’s integrated process can capture both minerals without diminishing the recovery or quality of the final products.

Building on the results, Altillion and its partners are exploring a collaboration to develop extraction infrastructure and advance the opportunity toward deployment.

“Recovering iodine and lithium together from one stream is a real differentiator,” said Scott Buckwald, COO of Altillion. “It significantly changes the economics, and it reflects how we think about produced water — not as a single-mineral opportunity, but as a multi-mineral resource.”
